This course involves an online course + classroom training. You must complete the online course before attending your classroom training.

Canadian Red Cross - Emergency First Aid Training with CPR/AED Level A or C (Blended)

Basic 8 hour course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies for adults (CPR Level A) or adults, children and babies (CPR level C ). Other topics include airway and breathing emergencies, as well as the prevention of disease transmission.

This blended learning session must be completed in two parts.  Part 1 is 4 hours online training and Part 2 is 4 hours in class. 

Emergency First Aid teaches you how to respond and manage in an Emergency Situation. This course takes 8 hours to complete (4 hour in class and 4 hours online) that is offered multiple times per week and includes basic CPR and AED training. Emergency First Aid is equivalent to Fitness First Aid and is accepted for any fitness or personal training organizations. Emergency First Aid also meets the requirements for injections with College of Chiropractors and is suitable for Fitness Professionals, Personal Trainers, Care Aids, Teachers, etc.

Please note that the 4 hour online component must be completed before attending the Classroom portion of the training. 

Requirements for completion:

  • Skills demonstration
  • 100% attendance
  • Grade of 75% on the written test

Upon completion participants will receive:

  • 3 Year Certification in Emergency First Aid
  • 3 Year Certification in CPR / AED Level A or Level C 

Duration: 8 hours - 4 hours in class and 4 hours online
